Ecstatic Dance

Ecstatic Dance has been practiced throughout history, since classical times, by the Greek maenads, followers of the god Dionysus, in the practice of shamanism, together with rhythmic drums are used to access non-ordinary states of consciousness within spiritual practices. And in many other traditions we have evidence of this practice.

Gabrielle Roth, founder of 5Rythms, was one of the pioneers to recreate this movement in the 70s of the last century. Currently, and essentially at the beginning of the 21st century, it was spread to various communities worldwide, with countless variants throughout the western world.

It is an international movement where you dance freely, in a space without alcohol and substances, where participants increase their energy through movement and surrender to different rhythms, without the need to follow specific steps, they move freely as the music takes them to various parts of their being, to trance and ecstasy.
For those who are participating in the Retreat Journey Into Your Heart (March 18th-20th) you don’t need to do the registration.
